Ocotea Oil: Miracle Oil of the Amazon

Ocotea esssential oil is extracted from the flowers of the Ocotea quixos tree which is native to the deep Amazon. It has manifested the following properties for some individuals. It is available only from Young living Essential Oils. It is a Godsend for many people with sugar metabolism problems.

BALSAM FIR, Idaho (Abies balsamea)

The fir tree - a tree commonly used as a Christmas symbol today - has been prized through the ages for its medicinal effects and ability to heal respiratory conditions and muscular or rheumatic pain.

Idaho Balsam Fir is a conifer oil distilled in northern Idaho that has a refreshing and uplifting scent. It is harvested during in the coldest winter months when the essential oil yield is highest. Frankincense Oil Kills Bladder Cancer Cells

This research was particularly relative to bladder cancer and Frankincense, however, Gary Young, and other YL resesarchers, have proven the effectiveness of killing cancer
cells in many types of cancer.

Hello Everyone,

If you do a Google News search today for “frankincense”, you will get around 50 news articles reporting on the recently published scientific research from Oklahoma Health Sciences and the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center showing that frankincense oil kills bladder cancer cells. The research showed that frankincense kills the cancer cells in two ways. First, it stops cell cycle progression, and then the oil kills the cancerous cells by creating multiple cell death pathways. Background

Originating from Africa, India, and the Middle East, frankincense oil has been important both socially and economically as an ingredient in incense and perfumes for thousands of years. Frankincense oil is prepared from aromatic hardened gum resins obtained by tapping Boswellia trees. One of the main components of frankincense oil is boswellic acid, a component known to have anti-neoplastic properties. The goal of this study was to evaluate frankincense oil for its anti-tumor activity and signaling pathways in bladder cancer cells.

Method

Frankincense oil-induced cell viability was investigated in human bladder cancer J82 cells and immortalized normal bladder urothelial UROtsa cells. Temporal regulation of frankincense oil-activated gene expression in bladder cancer cells was identified by microarray and bioinformatics analysis.

Results

Within a range of concentration, frankincense oil suppressed cell viability in bladder transitional carcinoma J82 cells but not in UROtsa cells. Comprehensive gene expression analysis confirmed that frankincense oil activates genes that are responsible for cell cycle arrest, cell growth suppression, and apoptosis in J82 cells. However, frankincense oil-induced cell death in J82 cells did not result in DNA fragmentation, a hallmark of apoptosis.

Conclusion

Frankincense oil appears to distinguish cancerous from normal bladder cells and suppress cancer cell viability. Microarray and bioinformatics analysis proposed multiple pathways that can be activated by frankincense oil to induce bladder cancer cell death. Frankincense oil might represent an alternative intravesical agent for bladder cancer treatment.

 A University of Oklahoma researcher says the Bible’s wise men were on to something with their gift of frankincense.
H.K. Lin, an assistant professor of urology at the OU College of Medicine, said the fragrant oil may be a cure for bladder cancer. His study is published today in the journal BioMed Central Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Lin said lab testing found an extract of the Somali frankincense tree Boswellia carteri can kill off bladder cancer cells, while leaving normal cells intact. He said tests are needed on animals before the effectiveness can be studied in humans.
"Patients are dying every day,” he said. "If there is no effective therapy, why not try this?”
Lin admits urologists are skeptical. "They don’t believe it,” he said. "This is ancient medicine. There is no data that is so-called scientific for a medical doctor to trust it.”
Dr. Daniel Culkin, chairman of the urology department at OU College of Medicine, said he’s taking the research seriously. If effective, frankincense oil could be a cheap treatment for early stage bladder cancer.
"It’s been used in many Third World countries as alternative medicine for treatment of many conditions,” he said. "But it hasn’t been tested in this country under the scrutiny of the Food and Drug Administration.”
Culkin said the oil seems to stimulate the immune system. But he warned against ingesting frankincense oils sold as aromatherapies because they may include toxic substances.

What To Do With the Australian Blue

I have found an interesting use for Australian blue. It works really well on inflammation and sunburns.

I burn really easy and hardly ever tan without peeling I have found mixing lavender and Australian blue together and applying it to my sunburn helps immediately and takes the burn out. It also has helped me get and keep a tan without peeling!!

Bug repellant-put 2-3 drops of Australian Blue on neck and behind the ears, and on bare skin.

It may be a good idea to suggest taking Australian Blue internally as it combats fungus from the inside.

Australian Blue is excellent for scar tissue. After back surgery, a year ago, I found out from my Dr I had some scar tissue in there at my incision and he told me "scar tissue" can be painful. I read in the EDOR about Australian Blue, bought a bottle, and it really does help. I read it will dissolve by using this oil persistently.....I love this oil.
