Young Living Farms

  • Lavender Fields
This past Summer, 2003, I took a trip to Mona Utah to visit the Young Living Farms. I was so impressed my the immensity of this organic farm, which produces organic therapeutic essential oils. Young Living is the only company in the world that is growing from seed, harvesting, distilling, producing, formulating, testing, packaging, and marketing esential oils. As I listened to Gary Young the founder of the company give a lecture on the distilling process, and the purity of these oils, I was so happy that I was here. I understoond the importance of a company with integrity, that can ensure you that what ever goes out of their warehouse is therapeutic. They were harvesting chamomile and I could see the process that is involved in distilling an oil. This is a great farm. Come and enjoy my photo album!

Copaiba Essential Oil –

A Recap from the Copaiba Conference Call July 7, 2009
with Marc Schreuder, Director of Product Formulation for Young Living Essential Oils

Last night's conference call from Young Living about the newest essential oil Copaiba was very informative. I hope more you will set aside time to be on these calls and increase your learning of how to best use our essential oils. Below is a recap of my notes from the call. Check the Young Living Product Blog website to hear the call for yourself and read more about this amazing oil. Our family has already seen firsthand how powerful it can be. Order your bottle of copaiba this month and don't forget about
the FREE NingXia Red (2 bottles with 225pv purchase) promotion in the month of July.

From the heart of the Amazon jungles of Brazil, copaiba oleo resin is tapped directly from the tree. A hole is drilled into the trunk of the 50 to 80- feet tall tree and out will pour this liquid resin. The resin is then vacuum distilled, using no water, no heat, only vacuum pressure to separate off the precious essential aromatic oil. Brazilian tribal natives harvest and process the copaiba sold through Young Living.

Sold in Amazonian pharmacies and used for nearly 800 years in folk medicine, copaiba was also listed in the US Pharmacopeia from 1820 to 1910 for topical and oral uses and is still on the FDA GRAS list (Generally Regarded as Safe). Some of the historic uses are digestive complaints including stomach aches, stomach infections, gastritis, antiseptic, arthritis, cellular mutations, tumors, Fibromyalgia, and pain.

Copaiba is the highest in beta-caryophyllene which is an anti-inflammatory compound. A 1996 study showed beta-caryophyllene to be effective in treating stress induced ulcers. Beta-caryophyllene is also found in helichrysum at between 8 and 12%, while copaiba contains 50% beta-car. Clove oil contains 6-8% beta-caryophyllene in Copal
comparison.

Marc Schreuder said on the conference call – that copaiba was helicchrysum on steroids. He has been studying copaiba for eight years and says it is his number one favorite oil with frankincense coming in at number 2. He also says that combining copaiba and frankincense would give you the highest spiritual and emotional oil blend.  Just like sandalwood is considered an excellent emotional supportive oil, copaiba is six times better and Marc calls copaiba sandalwood on steroids due to its high sesquiterpene content. He also likes copaiba mixed with a little peppermint for
pain applied topically.

For oral consumption, traditional uses are as much as ½ teaspoon twice daily. Four to six drops per day in a capsule should show benefit. It is not really a diffusing oil and this aromatic treasure is currently found in Young Living's Deep Relief and Breathe Again Roll-On's.

Marc also pointed out that much of the copaiba oil marketed is adulterated with soy bean oil or kerosene to extend the yield. Young Living's is not.

RutaVaLa Essential Oils made me "passionate about my work"

My story about RutaVaLa.

I defended my Ph.D. research about 3 weeks ago, in an exam in which I presented my results
for 30 minutes, and answered oral questions for another 90 minutes. I
have myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune neuromuscular disease which
causes potentially all voluntary muscles to weaken very rapidly with
relatively little exertion, and it is worse as the beginning of menses
approaches. My defence was the day before beginning of menses, and
my most prominent symptom is loss of control of lips and tongue, so I
slur. I prepared that morning by using Dragon Time bath gel in the
shower, followed by Dragon Time oil over the ovaries, Valor on my feet,
and RutaVaLa over my thymus. RutaVaLa was the new addition to my
usual routine. I did slur through the event, but it was substantially less
than it would have been without Dragon Time, and I was so confident
that I didn't care. The RutaVaLa made me relaxed, confident, alert, and
passionate about my work, and I believe it came through in the defence.
I passed, by the way, and now always use RutaVaLa when going to
meetings where I need to be relaxed, alert, and confident.
Thank goodness for these oils. Thanks to my upline for introducing me.

Depression/Anxiety buster

 Hi Everyone!

I have had excellent results with the following protocol that was shared by Gary Young in a class in Wyoming in 1994 when someone asked him what to use to ease depression...

I had one lady who was having several panic attacks a day, and they stopped the moment she started using this protocol. In the next month, she had 1... It was like a miracle.

I've seen it help a multitude of mental challenges., especially those dealing with brain chemical imbalances.

I've been trying to get Young Living to create a special kit of these 4 oils.

(They created this kit in Japan after I taught classes there and had everyone put these oils on...)

Meanwhile, it costs $169.75 to buy 15ml bottles of all 4 oils, and it will last about a year if you use them every day. It is worth every single penny, over and over...

I use it to stay cheerful and keep a good attitude, and I put them on every single day. Once is enough. I tell people that if they need them later in the day, apply them again. I find that they last all day. If I miss a few days, I find myself getting a little cranky. Why live that way? We can all live every minute of every day in JOY!!! The same "stuff" still happens, but we can handle things more evenly.

SO here it is:

Valor - rubbed on the bottoms of the feet, or a drop put on one wrist, and I hold the other wrist to it. (This is what I usually do because it's more convenient.)

Harmony - a single drop, rubbed over the solar plexus area (above the belly button).

Joy - a single drop rubbed over the heart.

White Angelica - a single drop in one hand, rub the hands together, and brush over the head (lightly touching the hair, over the face, onto the shoulders, the chest, brushing all the way down the body, lightly touching the body, right over the clothes, as though applying an "angelic shield."

Anyone who has these 4 oils - go put them on now. Why wait until you're having a bad day?

And write this protocol down. It's the best one I've got.Atma_qaravi

This protocol has been a lifesaver for MANY, MANY people. I have taught thousands of people how to use them.

Thanks Gary and Mary - for making this possible.

Love, Vicki

YOUNG LIVING’S NEWEST AMAZON AROMATIC

Copaiba is a powerful essential oil from South America that has traditionally been used to aid digestion and support the body's natural response to injury or irritation.*  Copaiba contains the highest amounts of beta caryophyllene (55 percent) of any known essential oil.  Young Living is the first in the world to produce a therapeutic grade A oil of Copaiba.100_1514 100_1177

Product Summary

Copaiba essential oil is extracted from the oleoresin of several different species of Copaifera, including multijuga, langsdorffii, and reticulata. Traditionally used in Native American recipes, today copaiba is featured in European and North American pharmacopeias. This powerful essential oil has traditionally been used to help digestion and support the body’s natural response to injury or irritation.*

Product Story

Copaiba is the only essential oil extracted through tapping, similar to how rubber and maple are obtained. Once tapped, the copaiba resin is distilled to produce a clear essential oil that has a rich, uplifting, woody smell.  Only copaiba essential oil found near the Amazon rain forest basin contains the optimal natural compounds needed for a Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ essential oil. Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer testing shows copaiba contains high levels of beta caryophyllene, gamma elemene, and alpha humalene, used in the past to aid the natural processes of redness and irritation of body tissue.*

Primary “Known”  Benefits

+ Traditionally used to aid common digestive discomforts when taken internally.*

+ Used historically to help the body regulate its natural immune responses.*

How To Use

Directions: Dietary Supplement: Put 2 drops in a capsule. Take three times daily or as needed. Topical: Apply 2-4 drops directly to desired area. Dilution not required, except for the most sensitive skin.* Use as needed. Aromatic: Diffuse up to one hour three times daily

Did You Know?

+ Virtually all companies who offer copaiba or copal sell only the tree resin, not the distilled essential oil.

+ Copaiba resin (what is tapped from the copaiba tree) has been used for hundreds of years as an incense in some Central and South American cultures. Copaiba oleoresin and essential oil was first recorded in European medicine journals in 1625.

+ Copaiba essential oil contains the highest amounts of beta caryophyllene (55 percent) of any known essential oil.

Caution

If you are nursing, pregnant, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a physician before using.

Quest for the World's Best Frankincense

~by Joy Linsley

(Business leader, Joy Linsley, is Editor of Joyous News, from which this article is taken, and is a Young Living Gold Distributor)

Last night (April 13, 2009) Gary Young made a conference call from Poland to Young Living Distributors, to which I was privileged to be a listener.

Over the past 13 years as a Member of Young Living, I have continually found reasons to be proud to a be part of this organization. Gary's call last night gave us many reasons to add to our already extensive list. It is difficult to take comprehensive notes when listening to a conference call, but I can give you the highlights, and some of my thoughts about the call.

Gary's latest venture consisted of taking a team to the Arabian Peninsula - going to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, and Israel. He had a multiple-item agenda: (1) To locate the very finest, most effective species of Frankincense; (2) To make arrangements with the locals to export it to Young Living; (3) To determine if anyone else is buying and exporting this Frankincense (they are not); (4) to gather film, records, and materials to make a movie about this historical area and the sacred trails; and (5) to write a book on the subject.

The Rigors of Frankincense CountryDec2008LifestyleMag

The journey was rigorous (which isn't too surprising to anyone who knows Gary!), climbing rugged mountains in intense heat, getting little sleep as they traveled from place to place, and even having some real adventures - like having their camera equipment taken. It felt like I was listening to a real Indiana Jones adventure! Of the team he took with him - Marc Schreuder, Karen Boren, Mary Lou Jacobson, Jeff Osler, and John Witten (I am guessing at the spelling of a couple of those last names) - all of them were available except Marc to comment on the call about the trip. They were all deeply moved by the experience.

Mary Lou said they were in Oman for the third harvest, filled gunnysacks with resin, and filmed it. On the border of Oman and Yemen they saw Frankincense trees in bloom - a rare sight. They have already shipped and received the resin in the warehouse and are distilling. They got contracts to ship once a month, and they learned no one else is getting Frankincense out of Oman. [Note - this is contrary to the claims of some other oil companies.]

Jeff shared that they spoke with professors, doctors, commercial people, everyone available in order to research the facts about the area and the frankincense.

John said in Yemen, when they lost their cameras, their focus shifted. Instead of doing the pre-planned things, they did raw research, which turned out to be a blessing. He said the Bedouins in Jordan were very helpful, and set up a caravan for filming.

The Bedouins' Daily Uses for Frankincense

Speaking of Bedouins, Gary mentioned later that they drink water with drops of frankincense resin in it each morning for their stomachs. The natives also chew the resin for their gums. They have a tradition of burning the resin to fumigate. Also, because they have little water for washing clothes, they put their clothes on a rack with frankincense incense burning underneath to “clean & freshen” the clothing.

Gary then flew from Arabia to Budapest, and then to Warsaw, Poland where he was to give a couple of talks just a few hours after arriving. He was actually speaking to us at 4 AM his time in Poland! From there, he was flying to (I couldn't catch the name; sounded like Milagra), then to Salt Lake City, and then back to Guayaquil, Ecuador.

He mentioned that his favorite oil is Frankincense; next was a toss-up between Lavender and Dorado Azul, followed closely by hundreds of others. There are between 17 and 21 difference species of Frankincense grown around the world. Seven are grown on the Yemeni island of Sokotra. The terrain there was made up of steep mountains, VERY rugged and rough - but Gary climbed them. He said being in that area felt like he was back to 3000 BC.

Each of the team members carried a Koran and a Bible and read about the areas where they traveled, and about the Frankincense and Myrrh trade. At some point, we will have access to the filming of the trip, and the documentation/research. Gary said he wants to know that when he puts his name on an oil, it is the REAL thing!

Organically Grown Oils Require Vigilence

He addressed the issue again of "organically grown" oils. He said some of our oils are marked Certified Organic. The others are definitely grown organically, without chemicals, because he has visited the farms to be certain. This first-hand verification is necessary on the part of Young Living because oil-producing plants are often grown in countries where organic certification is unknown.

We had a surprise during the conference call. Mary Young got on the phone from Ecuador to report on the progress of the Chongon School. There are 110 students registered. Their desks are being delivered. And they have blue and white uniforms. She is quite pleased by the progress.

A final comment regarding Young Living. we are blessed to have a founder/leader who stays 100% committed to providing us with the best possible oils from around the world, and goes to unbelievable lengths to do so. The integrity of the company and the product line are impeccable, and are the reason we truly are the world leader in therapeutic-grade essential oils. This is so important at a time when the cost of health insurance, hospital care, and prescriptions are out of reach for so many, and it behooves us to maintain our health naturally to prevent the need for any such services.

Release the Emotion and the Disease Disappears

~ by David Stewart

There are many books that connect physical diseases, illnesses, and conditions with unresolved emotions buried in our body and psyche. These books include "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die," by Karol Truman, "A More Excellent Way," by Henry Wright, "Heal Your Body," by Louise Hay, and "Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils," by Carolyn Mein. There is also a DVD entitled, "Emotional Releasing With Oils," by David Stewart. All of these are available at www.RaindropTraining.com.

The idea is this. When we face a stressful emotional issue that we are unable to handle, our mind saves the memory for us to access at a later time when we will be more mature and better able to deal with it. Experiences that result in buried feelings tend to happen more often in our childhoods when we are less able to cope. They may be forgotten, consciously, but they are not lost. Instead they lodge as cellular memories, lurking in our bodies, only to come back to us as teenagers or adults resurrected, but disguised, as physical maladies. How does this happen?

Your Body as a Digital Library080409_flower1

Each cell of our body has 6 gigabytes of memory and we have an estimated 100 trillion cells. This provides each and every one of us an almost unlimited capability to store memories of forgotten traumas in our cells. When we face a situation we can't handle, we don't get to avoid it. We can postpone it, but we can't avoid it. Stressful situations are opportunities to learn spiritual lessons we need to learn. So if we don't handle the situation and resolve the feelings now, in present time, our minds do not forget and erase. They just postpone us having to deal with the crisis until we are more ready at some future time.

At the instant of the unbearable experience, your emotional (limbic) brain acts as a librarian with your body as the library. Your mind will choose a place to store that memory for future reference. If, say, the chosen place in your bodily library is your pancreas, then that tramatic memory will lodge there and you won't even know such a memory is there, perhaps, for years. Eventually you develop hypoglycemia or a pain in your left side, which is your Pancreas' way of tapping you on the shoulder to say, "There is an issue here you need to deal with." If we don't understand that the pancreas is attempting to communicate a message to us and we keep misunderstanding and postponing the taking of appropriate action, the hypoglycemia develops into diabetes or the pain just gets more severe. If we still don't understand the message and respond, the condition can get worse and worse until we die.

Diseases as Coded Messages

Most bodily diseases are coded messages from our subconscious minds to remind us that unresolved issues, stored in our tissues, are seeking to be resolved. They are saying, "Now is the time. Fix it now." You don't need to wonder if you are ready and able to deal with the buried issues at this time or not. Your body's wisdom knows when you are ready and chooses the right time for you. So any time you suffer from any physical condition, chronic or acute, ask yourself what happened in the past, perhaps even the distant past, that is the root cause this condition and then attempt to decode the message and take action to resolve it.

It takes a lot of honest introspection, prayer, and inner spiritual effort to succeed, but it is what we have to do. An emotional issue resolved is a spiritual lesson learned. When the emotional root of a physical condition has been resolved, the physical condition will disappear because it was only a message, a message no longer needed. It may not disappear overnight, it may take time, but it will disappear and, sometimes, literally overnight.

The rewards for engaging in dialy efforts to clear our emotional baggage are many. Our physical disabilities can disappear. Our happiness level increases and a sense of peace comes over us. We feel closer to God and a greater sense of security. We become more stable, more focused, and a more pleasant person to be around. Working on ourselves to throw out our emotional hitchhikders is one of the most rewarding things we can do for ourselves and for everyone around us.

A Case in Point081010_1

I recently was witness to a near-instant healing from an emotional release that dramatically demonstrated that "When the underlying emotion is cleared, the overlying malady disappears."

I was doing a free public program on emotional releasing. 40-50 people had come. Before the meeting began I noticed a lady seated beyond the back row with her legs proped on a chair. I went back to tell her that she wouldn't be able to see or hear as well back there and there were plenty of seats closer to the front. She replied that her legs and feet were severaly swollen and she had to keep them up on a chair in order to sit through the program without too much discomfort. She said that she did not know anything about essential oils and had come out of curiosity.

I returned to the front of the room and began the program. About an hour into the program I was talking about how certain physical conditions correspond to certain emotions. I asked the audience to name me some physical problems and I would look the roots in one of the books I had on hand. The lady in the back raised her hand and asked me to look up "edema or swelling in the lower limbs." I did, and the answer was this is symbolic of "hanging onto things you need to let go of." She nodded in agreement with that finding.

Later, during the last 45 minutes of the program, I called for a volunteer to be the receiver of a facilitated emotional release to be done on a massage table a the front of the room. Since many raised their hands as willing volunteers, we took names and drew one from a hat. The person with edema in the back of the room was the one drawn.

We went through the emotional releasing protocol, using a number of oils, as a teaching demonstration for the audience. Oils were applied to her feet, neck, and head while she was given oils to apply to her abdomen and heart at certain times during the demonstration. After the preparatory stage, releasing stage, and concluding grounding stage, all of which took only about 30 minutes, she was ready to sit up. She commented that she had let go of a lot of "stuff." But that was all she said. She was given a bottle of water to drink and the program was concluded. That was in the afternoon.

"My Edema is No More!"

That evening I was giving a public program on "Healing Oils of the Bible" at the same community hall. An even larger group showed up for that when in walked the lady who had had the swollen legs and feet.

"Dr. Stewart," she said, "Look at my shoes. They are brand new but I have not been able to wear them for months because of the swelling. But look! My edema is no more!" she exclaimed. "Today, within an hour after the program, my edema completely and totally disappeared and I can wear my new shoes again."

It was quite visible that her extremities were no longer swollen. She was very happy and her face appeared to be years younger. That afternoon she had not been planning to return that evening for the Scriptural Oils program, but she did. And she was able to sit comfortably in a chair for a program lasting two-and-a-half hours without needing to prop her legs up, as had been necessary just a few hours earlier.

This is a good illustration of the dictum: "When emotions are resolved, the corresponding body condition disappears, because it was only a message which is now understood, acted upon, and no longer necessary."

A final comment regarding Young Living…we are blessed to have a founder/leader who stays 100% committed to providing us with the best possible oils from around the world, and goes to unbelievable lengths to do so.
